This is a spring themed shake and spill featuring both addition and subtraction! Students will love practicing composing and decomposing numbers using this hands-on activity. This activity can easily be differentiated based on the number of counters or the type of recording sheet students use. Students love practicing their subtraction facts playing this fun game with a partner! Directions on how to play the game are included in the file. Students spin two spinners, solve the subtraction problem, and then mark their answer on a game mat. Partners 'bump' each other off on the game mat after solving a problem with the same difference. For example, if the spin 5-3 and there is already a game piece on the 2, then they can 'bump' their partner off and place their game piece instead.
