Experience

I’m a first grade teacher who loves creating practical, purposeful, and polished resources that actually work in a real classroom. I’ve worked with children since my very first job in high school, and that passion has only grown over time. I’ve had the opportunity to work across multiple roles and grade levels -- including special education tutoring, Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade (where I currently teach), and Second Grade.

Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and engaging. I believe strong classroom management sets the foundation for everything else, and I prioritize building routines and expectations from the very beginning. I love working with students in small groups and creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. Many of the resources I design are inspired by what my students need most --materials that keep them engaged, supported, and successful.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was honored to be recognized as an Extraordinary Educator by Curriculum Associates (2025) -- an experience that pushed me outside of my comfort zone in the best way and helped me grow in confidence as an educator. It reinforced my passion for creating meaningful and engaging learning opportunities for students. While that recognition means so much, knowing that my resources are being used and loved in other classrooms is just as rewarding.

Additional biographical information

I’m a first grade teacher with a flair for all things creative and a strong belief that the details matter. I’m always looking for ways to make things more functional, more engaging, and a little more put together -- whether that’s in the classroom or at home. I believe there’s no reason to settle for something that doesn’t feel just right, which is why I love creating, customizing, and occasionally reworking things until they do. I love taking something ordinary and making it feel just right -- or even a little extra -- whether that’s a classroom resource, a space, or something as simple as ordering home fries well done and asking for extra sauce on the side. I’m passionate about creating resources that are pretty, practical, and purposeful -- helping teachers build classrooms that feel organized, engaging, and uniquely their own.
