Plant Growth Observation Worksheet

I have been using this worksheet in my classroom to help the students track the growth of their lima beans. The students write how long the plant has been growing ("day__") and draw a picture of their plant in the box above. I plan on hanging the completed worksheets in my science center. The students really enjoy seeing the progress their plants have made!

Dice Subtraction Game

This subtraction worksheet is meant for students that are learning to subtract. Have students roll a pair of dice and fill the numbers into the subtraction sentence. I made sure to tell my students that the larger number should go first. Counters, like bingo chips or flat glass marbles, can help students understand the concept of "taking away". I have used this with my kindergarteners and they had a lot of fun. Once students got the hang of the game I was able to leave the worksheets and oth

Finding Fact Families Addition and Subtraction Worksheet

These worksheets are great for students practicing how to add and subtract. It allows students to understand the relationship between numbers and how "fact families" are made. I had students roll dice to get the first 2 numbers for their fact families, but cards are a great option too!

Flower Petal Addition Worksheet

A quick little worksheet for kids learning how to add. Have students roll dice or pick two cards and write those numbers in the middle of the flowers. Then they draw that number of petals on the flower. Counting all the petals together helps students understand the concept of addition.

Piggy Bank Coin Money

This coin worksheet is meant for students just learning about coin money. It allows the students to understand the four main coins and that they each have a specific amount. The coins are shown as being different sizes, which is important when learning about money. The worksheet also has lines that mimic writing paper (blue, dotted, and pink) commonly used in kindergarten for students to write their name and answers on.

Experience

I’m a first grade teacher who loves creating practical, purposeful, and polished resources that actually work in a real classroom. I’ve worked with children since my very first job in high school, and that passion has only grown over time. I’ve had the opportunity to work across multiple roles and grade levels -- including special education tutoring, Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade (where I currently teach), and Second Grade.

Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and engaging. I believe strong classroom management sets the foundation for everything else, and I prioritize building routines and expectations from the very beginning. I love working with students in small groups and creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. Many of the resources I design are inspired by what my students need most --materials that keep them engaged, supported, and successful.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was honored to be recognized as an Extraordinary Educator by Curriculum Associates (2025) -- an experience that pushed me outside of my comfort zone in the best way and helped me grow in confidence as an educator. It reinforced my passion for creating meaningful and engaging learning opportunities for students. While that recognition means so much, knowing that my resources are being used and loved in other classrooms is just as rewarding.

Additional biographical information

I’m a first grade teacher with a flair for all things creative and a strong belief that the details matter. I’m always looking for ways to make things more functional, more engaging, and a little more put together -- whether that’s in the classroom or at home. I believe there’s no reason to settle for something that doesn’t feel just right, which is why I love creating, customizing, and occasionally reworking things until they do. I love taking something ordinary and making it feel just right -- or even a little extra -- whether that’s a classroom resource, a space, or something as simple as ordering home fries well done and asking for extra sauce on the side. I’m passionate about creating resources that are pretty, practical, and purposeful -- helping teachers build classrooms that feel organized, engaging, and uniquely their own.
