To help students know when the bathroom in your classroom is available, hang this sign on the door. When a student enters the bathroom they turn it to "occupied" and switch it back to "open" when they're done!

I use the book "The Word Collector" to introduce the word call in my classroom. I use this sign to encourage students to add to our "word collection" and view themselves as word collectors just like the story!

The signs are half-sheet sized. In my classroom, I post these signs around the room where our centers take place.

Use star cards to reward students who are on task. Stop and think cards can be used to encourage students to reflect on their behavior and correct it.

This substitute note highlights the date, students worth mentioning, absences, contact information, and general notes. This will help you stay organized and ensure you leave all the necessary information while also looking professional! The teacher will be able to find all of the information he or she needs at a quick glance. The document will download as a PDF so it is not editable.
