Density Lab and Extension Worksheets

Resources to last for a whole week!!! Begin with a density lab measuring the density of three common liquids (dish soap, water, and vegetable oil). Wonderful visual for students! Lab is designed to be done with or without glassware and is safe for SPED / 504 students but can be scaled up for Pre-AP and AP students using glassware in a laboratory setting. This is perfect for a first lab for any chemistry class to introduce labs using safe materials and begin to introduce the physical properties o

Teaching style

I thrive on clear, concise lessons that cause students to read, make predictions or evaluate trends, and work in small groups to solve problems. I love labs, demonstrations, and hands on manipulatives that challenge students while drawing them into learning.
