I use this chart with my EL students. I provide them with a list of character traits and after reading a story, we can fill this out together, in pairs or as independent work (awesome as a reading center). The most fun part? They get to report back ORALLY what they have found! The chart provides them with the sentence structure, so they get to use academic language while practicing speaking skills. I use this chart to help my students understand the STEPS when solving money word problems. I also included an extra page with a blank money bill and no dollar signs to be use with any currency. I hope it's as useful for your students as it has been for mine!
