Teaching style
I employ an effective teaching style centered on student engagement, utilizing interactive activities and hands-on projects to keep learners actively involved and invested in their education. By setting clear, achievable goals and providing relevant, meaningful content, I motivate students to take ownership of their learning journey. Positive reinforcement is a key component, encouraging a growth mindset where challenges are seen as opportunities for development.
Building strong, trusting relationships with students is foundational to my approach. I prioritize open communication, mutual respect, and empathy to cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom community where every student feels valued and heard.
My classroom management philosophy balances a firm but fair approach. Clear expectations and consistent consequences create a structured environment that fosters responsibility and respect, while maintaining a nurturing atmosphere that supports individual growth and success for all students.

My own education history
I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, laying a strong foundation in effective teaching practices and curriculum development. A few years later, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, which enhanced my skills in school administration, instructional coaching, and educational policy. Most recently, I completed my Doctorate Degree in Special Education, deepening my expertise in supporting diverse learners and implementing evidence-based interventions. This advanced academic journey reflects my commitment to lifelong learning and dedication to fostering inclusive, high-quality education for all students.

I am passionate about teaching and find great joy in witnessing my students’ growth and development. Seeing learners gain confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals inspires me every day. Helping students discover their potential and fostering a love of learning is truly the most rewarding part of my work.
