It can often be difficult for Middle Years Programme students to understand the 8-point assessment scale. This poster set was created to help students identify their own achievement levels for self, peer, as well as teacher-led assessments. If a students is asked to create a well-organized presentation of chocolate chip cookies, the goal is to reach the 7-8 level, not 0 (the peanut butter sandwich). These posters make students chuckle, but it helps them get the point!

Teaching style

Educational opportunities must be provided that would allow all students to master basic skills in order to survive and succeed in a global world. Instruction must engage students and connect to real-world issues. Every student is entitled to a curriculum that respects and celebrates all cultures, perspectives, and abilities.

Grace grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and has also lived in Virginia, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, Oregon, and Utah. She enjoys traveling, reading, and playing board games. When she isn't spending time with family, including husband, five children, and six grandchildren, she is exploring English and American History.
