She has previously taught 6th grade, college-level English and high school social studies. Educational opportunities must be provided that would allow all students to master basic skills in order to survive and succeed in a global world. Instruction must engage students and connect to real-world issues. Every student is entitled to a curriculum that respects and celebrates all cultures, perspectives, and abilities.

Grace grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and has also lived in Virginia, Idaho, Wyoming, New Mexico, Oregon, and Utah. She enjoys traveling, reading, and playing board games. When she isn't spending time with family, including husband, five children, and six grandchildren, she is exploring English and American History.
