About the store
I've had the joy of teaching elementary school for 9 years. In that time, I've taught pre-k, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. Regardless of age level, I've watched students flourish and learn, while receiving praise from parents for the activities I plan that allow for exploration, movement, and meaningful learning.

Encourage You Best Student Work With the Sugar Cookie Award

I print off and hang this sign on my chalkboard. When a student does a particularly nice job on an assignment, I hang up their work under this sign for recognition. Not only does it praise students who try their best on work, it motivates students with trouble using good handwriting or coloring. While I don't actually award a cookie, the idea that they get recognized goes a long way with the kids. Preview is wonky-- everything prints on one easy sheet with an adorable font called CK Frosting.

About the store

Experience

I've had the joy of teaching elementary school for 9 years. In that time, I've taught pre-k, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. Regardless of age level, I've watched students flourish and learn, while receiving praise from parents for the activities I plan that allow for exploration, movement, and meaningful learning.

Teaching style

Students learn best when they're up and moving, creating, and building understanding through the experiential and constructivist models.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have served as team leader for my grade level, as well as served as a mentor for first-year teachers. It's been my pleasure to work as the cooperating teacher for multiple student teachers.
