Composite Figures Mini Project
Direction slides for a fun, hands-on composite figure project! Can be done in a variety of ways. I drew the image myself (dimensions that align to answer key on slide 7), and laminated copies for a class set the kids had to measure and base calculations off of what they measured out. You could take it a step further and provide them the dimensions and let them draw it in an arrangement of their choosing! Heck, do both and call it differentiated for your kiddos. Experience
I created a tutoring company catering to 6th grade and up in 2004 and still have clients to this day. I taught in private school for 2 years and have been in the public sector since 2017!
Teaching style
Completely crazy, no lie. While I am a firm believer in many traditional teaching practices, I also like to be silly and have fun with my kids. We have a lot of competitions throughout each unit and I take every possible opportunity to make my class enjoyable.
