8 word problems for students to solve by writing equations and inequalities. 8th Math TEKS - 8.8A(S), 8.8C(R) We use this as a Graffiti Walk activity where we print them out on large paper and hang them down the hall of the school. We then place students in groups of 2-3 and spread them out amongst the posters with different colored markers. As students learn the formulas for calculating simple and compound interest, they can practice plugging in numbers and calculating different amounts. The file is in a Word Document so that you can edit the dice as necessary for different colors. When we do this activity, we use dry erase dice for the simple and compound die that is rolled. We also set it up competition style to see who can get the most money with one roll of the dice!
