Equations & Inequalities with Variables on Both Sides
8 word problems for students to solve by writing equations and inequalities.
8th Math TEKS - 8.8A(S), 8.8C(R)
We use this as a Graffiti Walk activity where we print them out on large paper and hang them down the hall of the school. We then place students in groups of 2-3 and spread them out amongst the posters with different colored markers.
We play in 4 rounds where they write different things each time:
1 - Write the important info
2 - Write the equation or inequality
3 - Solve!

Students will use 10 tables to calculate the equations determined by the data given. Each table has 2 answer choices. The answer choices then fill in the blanks of the mad lib story on the second page. Great activity for practice or for homework!
