This is a 5 day writing activity to introduce the writing process or to scaffold those who have started writing. A writing rubric is included as well as a word bank (nouns, pronouns, adjectives, prepositions). There are 3 pictures for students to draw inspiration from. Students should look at the pictures creating a story from the pictures. Each day is a step in the writing process. Day 5 students will publish their writing and read their story to their peers.

We add and take out work as needed. Students keep the binder at school and as we finish with an objective the students take their work home for their parents/guardians to see.

Give your students a little extra incentive to do their homework. These homework punch cards are great incentives for students to continue doing their homework. Once the card is filled they get to go to the treasure box or whatever incentive you choose.
