Teaching style

My teaching style is centered on building strong relationships with my students and creating resources that are hands-on, meaningful, and memorable. I believe learning should be fun and engaging, and I strive to provide many opportunities that support different learning styles. My classroom is a family where we work hard, play harder, and grow together every day.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My greatest reward as a teacher is knowing that my students feel loved, valued, and confident in the classroom. I believe the most important “award” I can receive is seeing my students leave my class with a love for learning and pride in their own growth. Watching each child make progress in their own way and at their own pace is what makes teaching so meaningful to me.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from California State University Channel Islands, my teaching credential from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), and my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Education from Grand Canyon University (GCU).

Additional biographical information

I am married and have two wonderful daughters, along with the cutest three pugs at home. I love teaching in leopard print and enjoy bringing personality and positivity into my classroom. I cherish my family, friends, students, and my faith, and I am thankful every day for the opportunity to do what I love. I strive to focus on being positive and grateful for the many blessings in my life. In my free time, I enjoy running and training for half marathons.
