This is a great introduction (or summative) lesson for prefixes. After having students learn the meaning of pre, mis, and dis I give them this sort. In pairs they create the headings (which copy on colored paper) and then cut out the based words and put them under the correct heading. There is a worksheet that I use for them to fill out once they've sorted correctly that makes them think about the meaning of the words before and after adding the prefix.

This is a worksheet that can be used to reinforce how to tell time in two different ways for students. Students need to calculate minutes to and minutes after the hour.

Experience
This is now my 4th year teaching. I have been teaching third grade for 2 years and taught 4th grade prior to that.
Teaching style
I love to make learning fun. I dedicate MANY countless hours to this profession. My weekends consist of searching and creating fun activities and lessons for the kids!
My own education history
I obtained my undergraduate degree in economics and management. I worked in an accounting field for a couple of years which I didn't feel suited me. I decided to get a masters in elementary education and become a teacher. I now do what I love!
