This is my 15th year in education and I wouldn't change one thing about my experiences. They have made me who I am today and continue to grow each year. I have my Masters in Administration and will one day go on that adventure... but right now I love being in the classroom watching young minds develop.

2 Step addition/subtraction word problems
Word problems can be tricky when it comes to little minds. I have created 20 word problems that are multi-step for students to work. They are used as task cards after the concept has been taught. Making that "movie in your mind" while independently working on these task cards will show their growth and success.

Basic Computations
Students having trouble with basic computations with zeros in the ones and tens place value? Here are some basic computations to help students practice their addition and subtraction skills using zeros. All you do is print, cut, laminate (for multiple uses), and put into a work station for students to use.

Experience

Teaching style
I feel that students learn best by doing. I model a math problem in all the way you can solve it. We all know because one way doesn't fit all in education. I feel that learning by doing gives the student a sense of success and independence. That's why as I make task cards for my learning stations, I will share them with all of you. Why create something that has already been created for you.

I have my masters and will pursue that one day, but I just want to share all the task cards I've created to make other teachers life easier.

Graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2002 and Concordia university with my Masters in Administration in 2009.

I live in Houston, Texas. I love my job and continue to learn new things every day. I love my family and enjoying spending time with them.
