Animal Farm Chapter 1 Character Tracking Sheet
When you begin Animal Farm, there are a lot of characters to keep track of in the first chapter. As the story unfolds, it was really fun to try to guess who they were in relation to the Russian Revolution. I didn't divulge the information until we were done with the text. I used this in conjunction with a poster I filled out as we read. The students were responsible for trying to get the sheet filled in and use it as a reference while we read the rest of the book. Daily Goals Behavior Chart
Chart Student Behavior goals in three different subjects or sections of your day. There are areas for self-reflection and possible goal-setting. At the bottom, you can decide on actions that need to occur with the chart. Send home? Make a copy? Send a photo home via email? It is a useful tool to manage 1 or 2 goals for behavior modification!

Experience

Teaching style
I am a fan of using a variety of teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of my students. I often observe as I'm teaching and switch the delivery method if I see the current instructional strategy isn't working. I like kinesthetic memorization techniques (pairing movement to information) as well as story-telling to help explain a concept. Allowing students to investigate concepts on their own, as well as, come up with their own projects to explain their learning are also some of my favorite methods.

I have an AA from Sierra College in Liberal Arts.
I have a BA from Sacramento State University in Psychology with a minor of Criminal Justice. (More helpful than you might think!)
I got my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Sacramento State University, as well.
I have been trained in Love & Logic, Nurtured Heart, and Peer Coaching, and I was a BTSA Support Provider for many years.
Additional biographical information
I am a wife, mother, teacher, writer, and Crossfitter. Teaching has been the true calling of my life, and I am so glad I had the support of a great BTSA Mentor to help me on my way! After all these years, I still love teaching, and I'm also excited to start writing lessons for TpT!
