Valentine's Day Whole Hearts Fraction Activity
A fun craft and fraction activity for Valentine's Day! Students can decorate and cut out their hearts to exchange with other students. Each half heart is labeled with a fraction. Students will try to create and collect whole hearts by combining two fractions with another student to make 1 whole! This reinforces finding equivalent fractions while engaging students in add fractions with like and unlike denominators to see if they add up to be 1. There are many options these worksheets could be use

I'm currently a 6th grade ELA teacher. I've also taught 3rd and 4th grade.

Hi, I'm Mrs. Rad!
I never thought I would have the guts to become a teacher, but here we are! My career started in the theater, and grew into a love of improv which brought me to Los Angeles. It was there that I first worked in a classroom and I was never the same! I returned home to St. Louis, Missouri to get my teaching certificate and I have been loving teaching ever since!
