In this lesson students will debate whether or not the Pledge of Allegiance should be said in school, focusing more specifically on how the “under god” portion of the pledge could influence an opinion on the matter. Whether or not students should say the Pledge of Allegiance at their school is a publicly debated topic that has been discussed for decades.
