Raining Resources

These resources are awesome to use when using the Amplify curriculum! They allow for teachers to get off the Amplify hub, and help students be more engaged in the lessons. In this folder, there are 1)interactive slides, 2) background information and discussion questions, and 3) character development resources. My students loved doing these PearDecks with activities embedded in them. Hope you enjoy!

This is a Google Doc that goes through each step of an argumentative essay. Not only does it go through each paragraph (introduction, three body paragraphs, counterclaim and conclusion), but included is each individual sentence type for those paragraphs. For example, in the introduction is goes over the hook, bridge/ background information, and the thesis. For each body paragraph, it follows closely the steps of R.A.C.E. These slides go through a variety of topics with students; vocabulary, characters, setting, plot. It allows for students to really reflect on the beginning of the story. It was a great way for my students to review the information, and it led to great discussions!
