Experience
After having taught 5th grade for 10 years, I am now teaching accelerated content for 3rd through 5th graders. While teaching 5th grade I taught a range of learners from special education inclusion to RTI to gifted.
Teaching style
I believe is incorporating critical thinking across the board. Students will rise to meet our expectations if we as teachers give theme chance and the tools to do so.
I use workshop models in reading, writing and math with student centered activities.

My own education history
My undergraduate degree is in Middle Grades education with an emphasis on math and language arts. I also hold a Masters degree in Literacy.

I have been married for 17 years. We have two wonderful children: an 18 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.
