Create a Lenten paper chain with your class.  Each link on this chain has an activity, act, prayer or reflection for the child and their family to participate in during this Lenten season.  Included is a note to send home to the parents encouraging family participation. The student removes one link for each of the 40 days of Lent. A great activity for family prayer and reflection.

A fun prank to play on your students for April Fool's Day. Scientists have discovered a new organism that clean sewer water and is edible! Total gross your students out when you eat these little critters (raisins) and take a drink of the "sewer water" (soda)!! A fun backstory pulls this whole prank off! My students have been totally grossed out every time I've done this! Is also great for living vs nonliving things in science!

Students will research and learn about European Explorers and bring their explorer to life by creating a living graveyard. They will record information about their journey to report back on. They will learn about reasons for exploring, the route of journey, landing spot(s), the hardships and triumphs their crew faced, etc. Students will spend several days researching and recording information about their explorer’s journey and discoveries. They will prepare a headstone for their explorer complet

This STREAM activity is based on the Catholic Beatitudes. Students will complete multiple tasks during this lesson incorporating science, technology, religion, engineering, ELA, art and math skills. Students will create emoji flashcards, plant and cultivate a flower from seed, design a flower garden, write a reflection and measure and chart the growth patterns of their flower.
