I have been an elementary school teacher for over 20 years, with 11 years of experience teaching third grade. I currently teach fourth grade, where I love helping students grow as confident readers, writers, and mathematicians.
I'm currently pursuing my Orton-Gillingham certification, which has deepened my understanding of structured literacy and strengthened my passion for effective reading instruction. Throughout my career, I've enjoyed creating engaging, research-based resources that support vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and writing instruction.
I have extensive experience implementing Reading Workshop, Writing Workshop, Balanced Literacy, Words Their Way, i-Ready, and Everyday Mathematics. I also enjoy integrating technology into my classroom to create meaningful, engaging learning experiences for my students.
