This 11 page emergent reader features a community helper theme. Students will write the sight word "I" at the beginning of each sentence. At a literacy work station or in a guided reading lesson, letter tiles or cards could be used in place of writing. You may choose to make color copies and laminate the pages, to use again and again. At the end of the year, I give each of my students a beach ball! This tag was created for the gift. I print the tags on card stock, cut, and tie to the beach ball bag with a colored ribbon.
