Teaching a love of reading to children has filled my days and years with laughter, tears, a-ha moments, and rich conversations. I encourage and support teachers with the implementation of best practices instruction in reading, writing, and any area they ask for support. Working to encourage, engage, and empower all learners is at the heart of my teaching!

Teaching style

I believe I am the facilitator of instruction and the teachers are the masters of their own learning. I believe in activities centered around higher level thinking, collaborative opportunities, and differentiation to support all teachers in their instructional responsibilities. I focus each professional development opportunity on state standards, so that activities are centered around purposeful learning opportunities and guaranteed student achievement.
