Poster to display for a room that writes! These are considered 'dead words' and should be used sparingly in writing. Use this poster to motivate students to elevate their writing by using other words to say the things listed on the poster.

Anyone else tired of repeating what MLA format is every time your student sit down to write an essay or longer paper? I made this poster last year, and I still found myself reminding them that it is hanging up on the wall. But an amazing thing started to happen - a student would begin to ask, "What's MLA again...?" And, another student would cut them off and point to the poster! IT WORKS!
