Students pretend they aren't given anything for Christmas except the ability to make someone else happy with any gift in the world. They write responses on Christmas tree lights and decorations. The teacher then may use them to create a Christmas tree bulletin board. Cute! Coloring page included

. After finding out they have been placed on the naughty list, student's have to write a letter persuading Santa to move them back to the nice list. Christmas writing paper, a planning sheet, and a template to create four ornaments are also included. Students get the chance to practice writing skills while developing understanding of author's purpose.

I have created a mayflower mini book to go along with the History.com article included. I had students read the passage and highlight interesting facts to include in the mini book.
