2 days of daily reading warm-ups with Common Core standards. Reading passages center around the topic of Thanksgiving along with consistent questioning of the standards.

Student reading warm-up tracker to go with Daily Reading Warm-Ups. Students can track their progress as they complete the daily warm-ups and then reflect upon their strengths and weaknesses. Common Core standards are addressed for sixth grade.

Exit slip to assess student performance with specific Common Core standards. Specifically written to be used during an Imagery and Sensory Language unit.

Smart file which contains a performance assessment aligned with Common Core Standards for 6th grade. Students will read nonfiction, historical fiction, and watch a media clip to determine the significance of each genre and the impact upon the theme. Students will then create an essay to support their reasoning.

Warm-up tracker for students to track their progress with daily warm-ups.

Student reflection form used to recommend books read independently. Students enjoy sharing their opinions about their books and love to show them off. These slips can be displayed on a bulletin board or in the room.
