Reading Really Rocks

Teaching students to break apart words into syllables is a great way to help students read larger words. Here is a variety of sorts to use in second and third grade. These sorts are in black and white or in color. There is a T-Chart for the sort if you want to use this ans an assessment for a student. Students can also complete this sort with a partner.

Here is a fun way to end a lesson on context clues. In order to assess your students, choose one of these three sheets for your students. I used all three in the classroom as a way to differentiate the lesson. There are 3 different exit tickets with three sentences.
