Diana has 5 years experience in an elementary classroom and 30 years of experience as a secondary reading specialist.

Teaching style

Diana has a particular interest in vocabulary, reading comprehension, and independent reading. Another area of interest is developing foundational reading skills in older beginning readers. Preschool resources have become an interest with a young grandchild! She believes in the importance of developing background knowledge and fostering a love for reeading.

Diana has received numerous teaching awards including the district Excellence in Teaching award, Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Teaching Award, and ILA Literacy Award.
