This notebook is a place for students to do their word sorts during word study. Includes a place for two and three pattern sorts. If using the Words Their Way program, there are pages for Blind Sorts, Closed Sorts, Written Sorts, Word Hunts, and Illustrate a Word. You may want to run mulitple copies of each page to create a notebook that will last all quarter/semester/year. Could also be used in a Word Study center.

This book will help students remember all the great things about first grade. It includes two pages of first grade favorites, a page on character, a page about friends, a page for photos, and a page for autographs. I like to glue a small manila envelope to the photo page and place all the photos of field trips and special class activities in the envelope. Parents and students love to look back on this book and remember their child's first grade year!

Keep track of the reading comprehension skills your students have mastered. You can mark if they are needing assistance with the skill, needing occasional assistance, or if they are independently successful with the comprehension strategy. Use this spreadsheet to track behaviors, consequences given, attendance, and tardies. Great for tracking data for intervention purposes.
