Experience

I've taught for 8 years as a LA/SS teacher and general education teacher. I have taught 4th and 5th grade. I also have teaching and tutoring experience in 3rd and 6th grade. I'm a food allergy advocate and heavily involved in the food allergy community.

Teaching style

I believe in teaching the whole child. I believe that all students can thrive when they are given the appropriate tools and support.

My own education history

I obtained my Master's degree in Education as a reading specialist and have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a middle school LA/SS endorsement. I am certified to teach students in kindergarten through fifth grade in all subjects. In addition, I am also certified to teach LA and SS in grades 6-8.

Additional biographical information

Although teaching is one of my passions, my other passion includes advocating for those with food allergies. I have experience as a mother to two food allergic children. I'm committed to making school a safer and more inclusive place for children with food allergies.
