Experience

Hi! I'm Carrie, the coffee-loving teacher behind ReadWriteBrew. I live in a cute little town in Southwest Ohio with my husband and our golden retriever, Leo. I have experience teaching all subjects, but my products are mainly focused around ELA & Math. I love to make activities that are easy prep, engaging, and of course, cute!

Teaching style

Like most of you, I believe a classroom is made to be a safe space for children to thrive. I aim to get my students thinking critically, asking questions, and wondering. I don't shy away from getting my kids out of their seats and moving around the room. I think connection, engagement, and relationships mean everything. I think little minds should be cherished and also challenged. I firmly believe that teachers are superheroes, and I try to make lessons/activities that make their lives easier.

My own education history

I spent three years teaching 4th grade! I built my own ELA curriculum to target the needs of my students. My Letters From Rifka Bundle was my favorite resource to use with them! Now, I teach 2nd grade Math! Oh, how I adore it. I created the Imagine Learning Bundle to supplement the rigorous curriculum, making learning accessible to as many little ones as I can.

Additional biographical information

I'm Carrie, a fifth-year teacher with experience in all subjects! I live in a cute little town in Southwest Ohio with my husband and our golden retriever, Leo. My passion for creating lessons drove me to open my own TPT store. I love the idea of teachers supporting each other all over the world, that's why TPT is such a special thing to me. My passion is with ELA, but I absolutely adore teaching math to my second graders. I hope you enjoy my low-prep lessons as much as I have!
