About the store
Welcome to Ready Mathematicians Store✨ Hi there! I’m so glad you stopped by. I’m an early childhood educator, coach, and curriculum designer with a PhD in Early Childhood Education and years of hands-on experience supporting teachers and little learners. I believe math should feel magical, not intimidating. Through playful movement, everyday routines, and hands-on activities, I’ve seen how even our youngest learners can fall in love with numbers. That’s why I created Ready Mathematicians — a space where teachers and families can find resources that are: ***Easy to use (built with what’s already in your classroom)*** ***Research-informed (aligned with the Common Core State Standards, big ideas of mathematics, and child development best practices)*** ***Engaging for kids (designed to spark curiosity, not worksheets to check off)*** My goal is simple: to help every child grow as a joyful, confident mathematician. Thanks for being here — I hope my resources bring more smiles, “aha!” moments, and math magic into your classroom. 🌟

Teaching style

My Teaching Style 🌟 I believe children learn best when they can move, play, and explore. My teaching style blends research with real classroom experience, drawing on principles of embodied learning — where math concepts are brought to life through movement, hands-on activities, and daily routines. Rather than worksheets or rote practice, I create opportunities for children to see, feel, and experience numbers in ways that spark joy and curiosity. Whether it’s hopping along a number line, comparing snack plates, or noticing shapes in a storybook, math becomes part of their everyday world. My approach is also rooted in relationships and confidence-building: when children feel safe, supported, and successful, they grow into mathematicians who aren’t just learning skills — they’re learning to love math.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Awards & Shining Teacher Moments 🏆 Some of my proudest teaching moments aren’t trophies on a shelf — they’re the little celebrations that happen in classrooms every day. Like the child who once whispered “I can’t do math” and later beamed with joy, shouting “I did it!”. Or the teacher I coached who told me, “Math finally feels doable — and fun — in my classroom.” Earning my PhD in Early Childhood Education and sharing my research at professional conferences has been an honor, but it’s the everyday victories — the smiles, the breakthroughs, the “lightbulb moments” — that shine the brightest for me. Those are the memories that guide every resource I create here: real tools that help children and teachers experience math with joy, confidence, and a sense of wonder. 🌟

My own education history

My Education Journey 🎓 My path as an educator has been shaped by a love for learning just as much as a love for teaching. I began with a strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, continued through graduate studies, and earned my PhD in Early Childhood Education. Along the way, I’ve studied what makes young children thrive, from play-based learning to embodied math strategies, and I’ve applied that knowledge directly in classrooms and coaching sessions. Each step in my education has deepened my commitment to helping children — and the teachers who guide them — see math as joyful, approachable, and full of possibility.

Additional biographical information

A Little More About Me 🌸 Outside of teaching and creating resources, I’m a wife, a mom to young children, and someone who believes that learning isn’t confined to classrooms — it’s woven into everyday life. I love blending my professional knowledge with my role as a parent, which means many of the resources I create are inspired by real-life moments with kids — from playful discoveries to everyday routines that spark curiosity. When I’m not writing, teaching, or coaching, you might find me with a good book, dreaming up children’s stories, or enjoying quiet walks to recharge. These moments away from work keep me grounded and remind me that joy and curiosity are at the heart of both teaching and life.
