About the store
After acquiring my Master's in Elementary Education at VCU, I worked in small group intervention for a year. After that, I was hired to teach 5th grade full time. Two years in, I was placed in 4th grade -- where I have remained since! I was asked to plan the reading activities and assessments for our grade level, and eventually thought I should share some of the exit tickets and comprehension questions I based off the Henrico County question stems for all of the read alouds I use in my classroom!

A Bad Day at Riverbend Comprehension Questions
This is an exit ticket for a lesson I used with my 4th graders about the Chris Van Allsburg book, A Bad Day at Riverbend. It is based on Virginia's 4th grade SOL question stems.
For this lesson, I hid the illustrations from my students and had them make predictions/inferences. At the end, I showed them the illustrations and they had to remark whether they had guessed correctly -- or not!
This assessment is 5 questions long.
