This Google Slides presentation encourages discussion about cognates and how to use them to acquire and understand even more vocabulary in Spanish! It uses terms associated with the Biden Inauguration as a guide to show students how to identify such words. The final activity links real articles about the inauguration from Spanish publications in which students will search for cognates. Also included are notes on each slide to guide teachers through the lesson.
