I'm a freelance English for Specific Purposes (ESP) tutor focusing on private tutoring, where I get to deep-dive into personalizing lessons for my students. I'm a big believer in being a lifelong learner regardless of how long I've been doing this. So, I try to keep a 'rookie mindset', staying curious, humble, and always ready to learn something new alongside the people I teach.

To me, a 'shining moment' is seeing a student use English where it actually matters. My favorites are the small wins my students share with me (that make my job sooo meaningful ✨): like a middle-aged student confidently chatting with people from different countries for the first time, or two doctors using English to help their international patients and colleagues. I've cheered on a fresh law graduate as she crushed her TOEIC goals and landed an interview at her dream company, and I'm truly inspired by my U50 student who takes charge of her own learning with so much passion. And honestly, I'm pretty proud of those 'panic' moments when I had to adjust a whole lesson 5 mins before class. These are the moments that make all the hours of material-making worth it.

After repeatedly sifting through textbooks for content that never quite "fit" my students' individual needs, I found myself gradually drawn to creating my own resources. I realized that if a tailor and a Fintech manager both need to learn English, they shouldn't be using the same worksheet.
