I've been teaching for 2 1/2 years. I count the half year because I graduated in December and started at an elementary school mid year in January. I jumped from 4th to 3rd to 1st grade all in a matter of 6 months to cover different teacher leaves. That was an experience for sure! I have taught 4th grade for 2 years, going onto my 3rd.

This product is a rubric for grading Reading Response Notebooks. I am not a stickler for the student's response itself as long as it is thoughtful and shows effort. It holds students accountable for the requirements of the response while still giving them freedom in their responses.

This product is a grading rubric to be used for reading/literacy centers. I like to give my students more credit for effort than accuracy, so I designed a grading system that does just that. My students have 3 graded centers- Reading, Writing, and Vocabulary. They will receive a symbol grade for each. The # of each symbol determines the letter grade that will be given for group of centers. It is meant to be displayed for students, so they can determine their grade.
