This worksheet is meant to explore how social control is maintained within society through learning values and norms and through positive and negative sanctions. It assesses whether students can make connections between how different social groups influence their behavior and also how society at large uses sanctions to control people's behavior by issuing rewards and punishments.
Contains a fill in grid that allows students to identify the family structure based on an image and a brief description of the family. Two questions at the end allow students to demonstrate their critical thinking skills on the relationship between society and family structures.
