I put mistakes into this letter that Francis Marion actually wrote! My student edited it and then rewrote the letter as if they were the scribe for Marion himself. It's a great way to integrade ELA and SS!!
This test covers folktales, myths, fairy tales, legends, etc. as pertaining to common core standards for third grade. Figurative language is also addressed on this test.
This is a multiple choice solution to boring spelling tests. It requires students to choose correct spellings as well as to pay attention to the context clues within sentences. You can use this as a template to create tests with your own spelling lists at any grade level!
