About the store
www.recessreset.com Developed at Stanford University, RecessReset is an animated mindfulness-based Social Emotional Learning curriculum & classroom management tool for pre-K and elementary school. Bring Bubbles the blowfish into your classroom to help your students regulate their nervous systems after class transitions like recess and start your lessons with a fun, engaging and effective mindfulness practice. Sequential bite-sized animated video lessons teach students life skills such as mindful breathing, body scans and gratitude to promote nervous system regulation and self-awareness, reduce stress, and build community. This daily curriculum of short 3 minute lessons is designed to be implemented routinely after class transitions like recess, seamlessly integrating life skills development into the school day while meeting the needs and time constraints teachers have. Our unique lesson design gives teachers agency, different from a push and play Youtube video, our curriculum enables teachers to guide mindfulness practices with their students with continuity that builds day by day. Founded by former elementary dance and theater teacher, Peter Mills, RecessReset recognizes that class transitions can make or break a lesson, and that having an engaging, effective and fun transition routine goes a long way. Peter is a former Elementary Dance and Theater teacher with San Francisco Unified School District, and was also a Teaching Artist with American Conservatory Theater, Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, San Francisco Waldorf High School, Opera NUOVA, The Citadel Theater, and Visionary Center for the Performing Arts. Peter is a proud graduate of Stanford University's Graduate School of Education.
