Relevant Math Equals Math Fun

Students complete a blank bingo card with 25 algebraic expressions listed at the top of their worksheet (this worksheet is a imbedded as a pdf on the final slide - just double click it). The teacher runs the power point presentation providing the students with a verbal expression that they then need to match with an algebraic expression on their bingo card.

A trail activity is where students answer questions in a specific order as dictated by their answers. I arrange the problems numerically around the room. Students can start at any number. Their solution tells them what number they should go to next on their trail. (The file is in the order that the trail leads the students). This trail focuses on solving multistep inequalities, but could easily be used to solve equations by changing the inequality sign to an equal sign.

Students sort systems of equations based on the number of solutions it would have (1, none or infinitely many). Students also need to write an equation so that the system would have one solution, no solution or infinitely many solutions with the other given equation.
