Since most of my teaching career has been in alternative education and/or special education classrooms, my teaching style focuses on active learning, inquiry, and problem-solving to increase engagement for the most reluctant learners. I believe students understand biology best when they interact with the concepts rather than simply memorizing vocabulary.
That’s why many of my resources include puzzle-style review activities, escape rooms and challenge games, scaffolded notes and guided practice, NGSS-aligned questions, and real-world connections
My goal is to help teachers save time while giving students meaningful learning experiences.
