About the store
I am a high school biology teacher who creates classroom-tested resources designed to make complex life science concepts engaging and accessible. I currently teach high school biology and design lessons aligned to NGSS standards, focusing on topics like genetics, cell biology, ecology, and evolution. Many of the resources in this store began as activities for my own students. I refine them each year based on real classroom feedback to ensure they are clear, effective, and genuinely engaging for students.

Carrying Capacity & Population Growth: PhET Simulation Activity WITH ANSWER KEY

How many bunnies is too many bunnies? In this engaging, interactive science activity, students explore the concept of carrying capacity by manipulating food availability in a PhET simulation. They'll predict, observe, and explain how population sizes change based on available resources—building a strong understanding of ecological limits and sustainability. This resource includes: ✅ Step-by-step instructions using the free PhET ecosystem simulation ✅ Data analysis questions tied to generations

Photosynthesis Virtual Lab | NGSS HS-LS1-5 | Light Intensity & Color Simulation

Help students see how light energy becomes chemical energy with this engaging, NGSS-aligned Photosynthesis Virtual Lab that uses oxygen bubble production as evidence of photosynthesis. In this inquiry-based lab, students manipulate light intensity, distance, and color in a virtual aquatic plant setup to investigate how environmental conditions affect the rate of photosynthesis. Students collect quantitative data, analyze patterns, and connect their results to chlorophyll absorption and energy tr

Teaching style

Since most of my teaching career has been in alternative education and/or special education classrooms, my teaching style focuses on active learning, inquiry, and problem-solving to increase engagement for the most reluctant learners. I believe students understand biology best when they interact with the concepts rather than simply memorizing vocabulary. That’s why many of my resources include puzzle-style review activities, escape rooms and challenge games, scaffolded notes and guided practice, NGSS-aligned questions, and real-world connections My goal is to help teachers save time while giving students meaningful learning experiences.
