Experience

I’ve been working with Latin students for years—first as a TA and substitute teacher while earning my Bachelor's and M.A.Ed., and now as a high school Latin teacher. I’m in my second year of full-time teaching, and I love creating engaging resources that make the ancient world fun and accessible for students!

Teaching style

I take a constructivist approach to teaching, giving students a variety of creative ways to show what they’ve learned. I also believe in valuing different types of intelligence and learning styles—not only to help students succeed but to make learning more meaningful for everyone.

My own education history

I fell in love with Latin in high school and have been studying it ever since! I earned a Bachelor's degree in both Latin and English, with a concentration in creative writing, and later completed my Master’s in Education at Virginia Wesleyan University.
