This is a workbook i developed for a client i had which had autism and an intellectual disability in the severe range of impairment. To upload it to this site i edited it so as that it is somewhat more generic in nature. The workbook is written in simple english where possible. It also has questions at the end of each page to illicit discussions and make those you are training think about how a diagnosis of autism may affect their day to day life. This is a training package i developed at the time that i also developed the Autism, Transition and Communication and OT needs workbook packages. i have edited this workbook to upload to this site. it includes discussion questions to incite chatter among staff and carers to get them thinking about how ID can impact a person's life and their service needs as well as the responsibilities of the carer. i have labelled this as Entry level, meaning i may make a level 2 workbook soon.
