Place value charts to use when teaching place value to upper elementary students. One chart is whole numbers from the ones place up to the billions place. The other chart has decimals and goes from the thousandths place up to the millions place. Both options come in color and black and white, and have spots to write the number out in standard form, word form, and expanded form. This is a great tool to use with students who are struggling to identify the place and value of a given number.
Emergency substitute teacher writing activity. This activity requires no prep, and very little direction from the sub. The students will hypothesize about why their teacher is missing that day and create a missing person's poster.
