I was born in India and moved to Brisbane, Australia at the age of three, where I grew up and completed my primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Brisbane became home, shaping much of who I am today.
After earning my Bachelor's degree in 2009, I entered the workforce with high hopes—but a disheartening final placement led me to pivot toward retail management. I ended up spending seven years in the field, gaining valuable leadership and customer service experience. But deep down, I knew my true passion lay elsewhere. Eventually, I made the bold decision to return to teaching—and it turned out to be one of the best choices of my life. That decision reignited my sense of purpose and opened doors I never imagined possible: from teaching in China for a year, to living and working in the UK for two years, to immersing myself in a variety of educational systems around the world.
These experiences have shaped me into a more adaptable, globally minded educator. They’ve deepened my appreciation for the diverse ways people learn, grow, and connect. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue evolving in this journey, bringing everything I’ve learned into each new classroom and community I become part of.
