Discover dynamic educational resources tailored for teaching college-level British literature, composition, and research, crafted by an English professor with Master’s degrees in English and Educational Administration. Teaching style

My teaching philosophy is rooted in a student-centered, inquiry-based approach that fosters active engagement, critical thinking, and creative exploration. In both literature and writing courses, I scaffold learning through context-rich, interactive methods such as escape rooms, riddles, visual analysis, and collaborative challenges—to front-load key vocabulary, themes, and historical background. I guide students with thought-provoking questions and multimodal resources, then gradually release responsibility to support student-led inquiry, dialogue, and independence. I assess learning through creative group projects, writing portfolios, and opportunities for self-reflection using transparent rubrics. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to improving lives, both individually and collectively, by helping students recognize their own distinctiveness and potential. I strive to create a dynamic, inclusive environment where students feel empowered to take risks, express themselves with clarity and confidence, and understand the limitless possibilities before them. My goal is to show students they are capable of all things and that their voices—whether written, spoken, or analytical, can contribute meaningfully to their communities and to the world.
